The unique and exotic International Novelty Gamelan on the final leg of their reunion tour will grace St Paul on this February evening, playing the music that has been known to make crows gather and music critics wax poetic.
Creating their own culture the members of ING have ancestors that span the globe and eventually all meet in Africa if you go far enough back according to current theories. For this show the band will perform music so abstract and primal that the names of the songs are pretty much arbitrary after thoughts.
their Album: Metalophonia will be available for sale

Matt has been performing Hindustani vocal music both in India and North America since 2000. His other performance experience includes oud, Afro-Cuban drumming, simulogue, shape-note singing, experimental vocal performance, Thank-You-Play, and Javanese gamelan.

Guitar wizard Jon, aka John Saint-Pelvin, has been a long-standing favorite at the Khyber and we anticipate great things happening with this collaboration.

The group continues to evolve in a wholly autodidactic fashion and focuses primarily on acoustic-based "spontaneous composition".
